Mini Morning Habits for Success

Sometimes the littlest things can make the biggest differences in our lives!

 Mornings can either jump start you to an amazing day, or drag you down a bad one! But lucky for us it’s all a matter of choice.

Follow these easy steps to make your mornings a platform for a great day!

1. Get up when your alarm goes off (the FIRST time)

I'll be the first to admit that I have this really bad habit of hitting the snooze button like 60 times too many. BUT there are ways around this terrible snooze addiction! Put your alarm across the room, in a totally different room, get an app that makes you shake your phone or walk around, but whatever you do, don't hit snooze!

2. Gratitude Journal

Before the stresses of the day pounce on you take some time to write down what you're grateful for. I used to always compare what I had with others, and it was a losing battle because I felt as if I never had enough. Once I began to write down what I was grateful for, the feeling and thoughts of never having enough began to gradually disappear. One day I just realized, "Wow, I'm really happy with what I have.” So, count your blessings big and small!

3. Declare what you want to see

If you come into my bathroom you will see sticky notes plastered all over my side of the mirror. Sticky notes filled with declarations of what I want to see in my life! Now guys, this isn’t just talking to yourself like a crazy cat lady, it's saying something enough that you believe yourself (maybe it is like the crazy cat lady!).

Here’s some of the declaration I speak out loud in the mornings:

•I am blessed and highly favored 

•I have extraordinary opportunities given to me

•Blessings are chasing me down

• Business offers are out there for us!  

I am a huge believer in the power of our words. In Proverbs 18:21 it says, “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” Be intentional about the words you say as you begin your day, what you speak about you will bring about. 

So remember, sometimes it’s the little things that count most. Take control of your mornings, and the rest will follow.
